Yeah, they have some free downloads. It works basically like any other drawing program.

i got SAI free cuz i got an illegal download (at the rate im going, the FBI will be at my doorstep by tommorow morning)

i highly suggest using a free vector program for lineart, and a paint program for colored.

or...you could always send me a basic first draft of an image and i can edit for you. i got some skill with SAI, PAINT.net, microsft paint, and GIMP; and im currently learning photoscape. hoping to get photoshop but its so friggin' expensive. ($700 for a pro pack)
