so.. i got back from the casino last night at around 4amish..
as soon as i walked into my room i realized what today was... the 14th, the day HEart Gold & Soul Silver were available for purchase in the US!!!
i was VERY upset with myself and set my alarm clock to go off at 9, because i had to get to Toys R Us to pick up my pre-ordered copy between 10-1!! why those times? well only because they were giving out free t-shirts and HS & SS basics kits, a long with the Lugia & Ho-oh figuresssss!!!
needless to say... i woke up at 11:30 -_-!!
there was no way i'd make it in time... it take me 30 minutes alone just to figure out what i'm gonna wear whenever i go out... )':
But luckily, i work there, so i called and told them to set aside stuff for me hehehehe :))
...i walked in at about 3, 3:15~ Lmao XD
i had only played like a 5 minutes of it when i read
TheKyleisHere's journal, and decided i wanted cool names for my characters too!!!!!!
so i just started a new game with my female character; Peony
given my love of grass type Pokemon, i thought Peony was not only a cute name, but also since the peony flower is a symbol of love and affection and is representative of good luck, and is also known as the Queen of Flowers in Chinese culture~ it totally works~ ^_^
it should be a given, but my starter was the adorable grass type Chikorita :)
i named him Althaea, which was the plant that the ancient greek botanist Pedanius Dioscorides had named "hibiskos" or hibiscus~ which is the beautiful flower with several healing properties that will blossom from his neck once he becomes big and strong and evolves into a Meganium <3 hehehe

For the record: green is my favorite color, I adore grass pokemon (though, let's be honest...it's a craptastic type >.>), and I'm a nature whore! \(^o^)/

ya grass types can be kinda weak and it makes me sad, but with the right moves & ev training they can pwn <3

...IV training too perhaps? If so, we need to have ourselves a battle sometime! D8
I do see myself as a rather competitive (though overly friendly) player, and I'm currently finishing up a sunny day team--complete with my lovable Vileplume! ^^
Oh, btw, my FAVORITE pokemon of all time is Jumpluff--don't judge me, BOI! (>w>)
Gloom & Cherubi would have to tie for my second place though, i just love glooms expression & i totally fell in love with Erica's Gloom after seeing it in the anime XD && then Cherubi is just plain adorable!! XD

i know what iv's are but, idk how to train them really, and that formula to figure stuff out is just waaay to complicated for me(fails at math) lolol x_x i know they determine what type of attack a pokemon's hidden power will be though :33
&& oh hehehe well i dunnooooo~ im not so much XD if pokemon were real i'd probably only battle in contests lol
sunny day is win with Cherrim, but its a double edged sword because it boosts fire type attacks, so i dunno if i'd make a team like that myself unless it was for a double battle and i had a pokemon with water sport x_X
♥ Lombre being part water, he pwns all the fire types i run into lolol XD

Hey now, there are like...498 pokemon...we can't have the same favorite GRASS type! \(T-T)/

Hehe, as for the formulas; there's no need to mess with those. You can just use this --> Serebii.net (IV Calculator) ^^
Just plug-in the info of a pokemon that has YET to see battle, and this baby will crank out what IV they have! ;3
Also, you're correct about the fire hazard for Grass type pokemon in the sun, but you are forgetting particular grass pokemon have the ability Chlorophyll--which doubles their speed in the sun; from there, it's whoever strikes the hardest FIRST wins! =O
& oooo ty!!! that really will make things a lot easier for meeee =D
&& hmm true that could be helpful hehe ^_^ i guess you'd know more about it though since im not really a battler XD ♥
