It's very inspirational when people talk about the universe in such emotionally overwhelming passion. Richard Dawkins' argument is that you don't need to invent god because the natural world is so full of intricate beauty - you only need to study life and the cosmos to feel awe and wonder. How ironic that such lyrical waxing seems to touch the 'soul'.

I'm doing much better, thanks. The medication was shitty at first, but I'm now starting to shrug off the bad side effects, like insomnia, drowsiness, anhedonia, etc. I cloistered myself away from friends like you during a dark time, which was precisely the thing not to do. I'm still not out of the woods yet, but I'm getting there. I'm a hare - it was inevitable that I'd get a little mad in March!
