Pretty much, the Texas State Board of Education wants to remove things from history books they deem too "liberal" and instead replace them with their own conservative beliefs of what history should be.

They're even going so far as removing the man who WROTE the Declaration of Independence, and the 3rd president, Thomas Jefferson, from the history books. Simply because he supported the separation beween church and state.

Are you libertarian? If not, then... why does it bother you so much? More importantly, what have you done to help stop it? Or maybe you're just trying to look cool and play White Knight by ranting about shit that's not really any of your business.

I've written letters to the Texas board of education, state Secretary of Education, and to the US Secretary of Education. By posting here, I'm also raising awareness so others may do the same.

Eh, the history books are always biased anyhow. Our whole educational system and what we teach our youth needs to be overhauled.

I won't agree that everybody in Texas is retarded. My pal Chazz lives there, and he's certainly an intelligent and upstanding man. One man who used to live there, Jack Spirko.. He's not on the dumb side, either. He's practically the only role model I've ever had.

Hermie I am from Texas myself and not all of us are idiots. I already know about the overhauls I am studying to be a teachers. We are not as conservative as you think we truly are. Yeah I hate this community and what is coming in here to keep people my age away but it still doesn't mean I don't like the rest of Texas.

I love Texas and plan to someday be able to move out in the countryside somewhere maybe around Conroe.. I don't know. But what I do know is.. Who cares?
