Well it DOES have kinda a 'twisted' side to it sometimes, but if it didn't I wouldn't think it was cute at all. I usually glaze over the real sugary stuff pretty fast, but throw in a bit of impishness and I think it's the most adorable thing in the world. You have that down pat. :D
