Even if you can't wear it yourself, that gold slave bikini would look bitchin hanging off your wall. You can even make up something about the girl being so grateful for her freedom she gave it to you right off her back. How about the lightsaber from the jedi wanabe who tried to stop the slaver before you and failed? It looked goon on his wall, it'll look better on your desk, so what if you can't make it work, it's loot.

At least it's not as bad as D20 Modern, where you don't deal with money at all. You have a 'Credit Rating' (They call it 'resources' or something like that) and every item has a Challenge Rating to buy, if your credit rating is higher than the item's challenge number, you can buy it, you can buy ten of it, you can buy enough to give every man, woman, child and goldfish on the planet a hundred each, and it doesn't affect your credit rating. if you want something that's more expensive than your credit rating, you make a challenge roll, as if your credit rating were your skill level, and the item you want is the target number. If you win the challenge you get one, if you fail your CR is reduced by one for not buying the item.
