*crashes* Otay, I'm back from MomoCon 2010~ I has lots of stories to tell.
Day 1 - Alright, I got to the con cosplaying as Raguna from Rune Factory, met my friend Rai, glomped my friend Brittany, and then I met up with my friend Jax and her friends. We all introduced each other to each other (yay redundancy in a sentence). Jax and I hugged and then she and her friend, who is now also my friend, Matt Nix straightened my hair. Then we wandered around for a bit, checking out the Artist Alley's and whatnot while avoiding the Dealer's Room line cause it was ridiiiiiculous. In the Instructional Center we were standing at the bottom of the stairs and looked up to see someone in a skirt who was reeeaally fat so we all looked and said "Look at dat ass." After that we said that about everyone in skimpy cosplay/outfits. We ate lunch, then wandered around a bit more, then I saw one of my friends and his dad in line for the dealer's room line so we jumped [cut] in line with them (without anyone saying or noticing mind you) and got into the dealer's room no problem. The only thing I bought from it was a raccoon-eared hat and a MomoCon 2010 shirt. It was a girl's shirt cause they only had large and up in guy's and there was nooo way I was going to buy it. Then we went outside and I saw my friend who cosplays Ike and hugged her. I don't remember her real name cause I learned her name as Ike. Anyway, after that we went back to a different building and sat down for the rest of the evening while Matt Nix (his name is so fun to say) hosted a radio show for KSU. Oh yeah, Matt was dressed as a whore and was carrying around a yaoi paddle and giving/receiving spankings to/from people all day. Anyway, then we all went to this Asian restaurant called Ru-San's and it was amazing. Then I went to my uncle's house and crashed.
Day 2 - I got up, watched a movie with my uncle and ate breakfast, then went to the con. My friend Brittany didn't get to come this day, but Jax and all my other new friends were there. Today was pretty much cold, rainy, and windy, which is a crappy combo. Anyway, the con was significantly less crowded today than it was Saturday, which is usually the case for every con. We pretty much walked and sat a lot. I did see someone dressed up as Lady Gaga. We were sitting down and my friend Serena started singing Paparazzi to her and she sang it back. After that Serena and I looked at each and said we should stalk her because of the song, so we did and it took them a short while to notice, but when she did we started singing Paparazzi to each other again. Then she hugged me and said I was awesome, and I pulled out my camera and she started screaming Paparazzi and she started running and I chased after her with my camera shouting "I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me" and "I want your bad romance", which pretty much made everyone we ran past laugh, and I chased her all the way from the Instructional Center to the Student Center of Georgia Tech. Then she hugged me again and said I was awesome and she loved me and let me take her picture. It was a total ROFL moment. We did go into the Artist Alleys again and I got two commissions. One's a badge which I have to email/note the artist about so she can start it, and the other was a chibi pic of me, which much to my dismay got misted on by rain and crinkled cause I had to put it against my chest and then in my bag to save it, but it still looks great (and effing adorable). While I was sitting there watching the artist draw me, she said "You know, I used to only draw anthros." We started talking and it turns out she drew one of the pictures in the Guest Gallery section of the book Draw Furries which I have and have seen. She was really excited to know that I had seen it and I was excited to know I met an uber pawesome artist who was also drawing me in chibi form right in front of me. After that, we sat around a bit longer and the Jax and I had to leave.
All in all it was a great con for my second one. I had a blast, made some new friends, and look forward to it next year. =3
