The story is meh.. I don't get the reason why the predators are doing it. Are they taking off from AVP or what?

I havn't seen the original predator movies in a long while, so maybe I'm missing somthing. It looks great, the story just.. blah.

I heard this film was a reboot of the 'Predator 3' script they abandoned in the 80s, but I have no solid evidence to back that up.

Sorry for the double post, heh. Should have kept it all into a single comment. But yeah, I heard something similar to that too. I actually saw the trailer a week or so back. I think it might confuse some fans how ever. I don't know. I'll probably go see it. I love the entire franchise.

*shrugs* Just a thought, I guess. I'm assuming Predators 3 came before avp/avpr, where as many viewers might think it comes after. Though it could be a different group of predators who are doing this. Guess we will have to wait and see. I just really hope they don't rush it or anything.

The premise is simple, and the cast has some heavy hitters in it. I'll need to see a bit more before I can form more of an opinion.
