I keep getting 3459063409578 deleted journals and submissions in my inbox ALL THE TIME. :c

Dude, I recently started watching some artist on my other account and they do that, too! LOL I don't know which artist it is, either. I've watched quite a few new ones lately. There are a ton of those removed journals everyday though! LOL It's so annoying.

It'd be cool if there were a way to tell...

Deleted Journals are disappeared very easily and effectively with Edis Krad’s “Journal Filter” Greasemonkey script.

That programming talent might some day have resulted in a “Submissions Filter” script, had trolls not chased Edis away.

It's not a glitch. I get those sometimes, and it pisses me off, too. I mean, it's just kind of rude. It's like saying, oh, wow, I really like this, and then coming back later and saying....I was just joking, HA!

I know it's not a glitch all the time, but I think it's odd I get so many everyday. XD I don't even have that much art uploaded! It's like there is some indecisive watcher going "I like that, no I don't, I like that, no I don't..." XD

Why the heck do we even get updates like that?
We can't really do anything about it nor know who it is so there's really no point to it.. I want an option to turn that crap off D8

i dont know about favs but the journal is probably a stream announcement that is deleted after the stream is done

It'd be nice if...

1. FA didn't tell you when someone unfav'd something you posted. What if someone hit the fav button by accident or someone fav'd something for someone else as a joke?

2. FA told you which submission by which artist/author/musician that you fav'd was removed if it is removed.

Yeah no kidding.

I wish that FA didn't feel the need to tell you that someone removed something, but won't tell you who did it or what they removed. This goes for journals and submissions, too. SO MANY "submission has been removed by the poster"... "journal has been removed by the poster"... "favorite has been removed..." ARGH.

I'd rather simply not receive the messages than get all these completely useless ones.

I only keep a small 'rolling' set of faves. After a few weeks I delete them. I also don't keep old Journals around. Over time they become irrelevant or just OLD.

Also there could be a user who's just marking a submission they would like to download later when they get home. On the Twitterverse, I use their favorite command to check various webpages out when I can get to a laptop, for instance.

All that being said, I wish I could remove the deleted artwork from my favorites lists. It's a bit annoying they can't be cleaned up

On your User page, top right corner, press "Control Panel".
On the new page under Management, press "Favorites".
Each Favorite will have a "Remove" button under it.
After removal, use the Browser Back button to step back and continue.
Refresh page when ready to go to next.

All that aside, I didn't know they gave the submitters a message when someone fav's or watches (or unfav/watches) something! That would drive me bananas, too, just from the sheer amount of traffic I'd have to deal with.

Yeah, and whoever keeps deleting submissions and cluttering my fresh furry art with those grey x's. And deleted journals, too. I wish I knew who does that, and why.

When great artists delete perfectly fine are that I faved! Then I go back and look for it and it's GONE! I was looking for this really beautiful picture from a while back and it must have been deleted by the poster because I don't see it. I was so disappointed. :(

It's was gorgeous and now it's gone foreeeeeeever.

MORAL OF THE STORY: If you really, really, really like a picture, save it. No telling when it'll disappear.

I do that from time to time, but I warn people first before I delete it. XD That way they can save it! I think it's annoying when artists delete stuff from their gallery without a fair warning first.
