Wow been too busy/forgetful to check up on this thing.
Got a course with the NFTS for there 5 day training course for AVID.
Downloaded AVID to brush up on my leet skilz, and then to my amazement I found that it hasn't changed at all. They still have all the same icons since OS9, and its missing some very essential features like on the fly rendering. I hope I'm just missing something here because if I'm not...

Ah, Avid... I still say FCP is more flexible and faster/easier at roll edits and such. Avid is slower and more long winded in that regard. However, I do love that Avid only has to render the once!

I must have missed something then, every time i rendered a clip i couldn't edit it at all with out deleting or re rendering.

Well, this was when I went to work in the edit suites on Potter 7, they had it set up so they only had to render the footage once. But they were running fairly basic set ups: Windows XP, 3gb ram...
