this place had a chat function instead of having to download a client where about 1203923 people sit idle anyway.
I feel it's relatively hard to meet and make friends on here because if you post comments about their art to try and strike up a convo, they feel you're just another annoying sucker. And if you beg and plead for attention you ARE just another annoying sucker. (And yes, this applies to everyone, not just the "good" artists.)
:/ Really I wish there was something like DA's system with multiple chats of different topics. Even though I can't stand (couldn't) the people there. It's all little children or jaded assholes.

I've had decent luck commenting on people's stuff in the past, but can be hard to get started having good convos sometimes. Everybody's shy. Or a douche... XO3
