Um, lotsa times it's drawn on a card, and their name's on there all fancy-like. Or you can draw them digitally and print them out and laminate them. Look up badge in the search. :o There's so many kiiiinds!

Its usually a bust or headshot, sometimes full body of someone's character and typically their name. You stylize it to make it unique and laminate it/attach a clip to it to wear it like a 'badge' that tells who the person is/who their character is. c: Sorta like a nametag with a picture that identifies you and they're super fun to collect from various artists. Sorry, kinda went overboard hahah. But! They can be digital, traditional, or a combination of the two! Some people use scrapbook paper, stickers etc to spice theirs up abit. Some do chibis or busts or fit the whole character in. They're usually around ATC/wallet sized and larger. Super large is like 7" or so I'd gather? Around there. Some are even as small as bottlecaps! (Most don't sell them that small, but you know. You can get really creative with it, and since its 'smaller' art both digitally and traditionally its usually much cheaper to get a badge than a full colored picture as commissions as well as easier to make, thus people are fond of them. As well as digitally you can print it out and tote it around or hang it up and all that jazz or you can send them the original badge you make traditionally.)
