Feeling the earth underneath my paws and the wind rustle my fur, i walk. Along the way i am approached by a tall spotted hyena. "The town is in danger! The fires and killings are without cessation!" Panting and out of breath his collapse kicks up motes of dust into the air.

Spurred by the encounter, headlong i charge down the path. Ahead in the distance lies the town, the minarets and battlements of the towns keep aflame and screams permeating the air. Reaching the main gate, i sight a young wolf cub being carried away by monstrous beings. With quick determination and lighting reflex, my sword is brought down, severing one creatures head from what could safely be assumed as its spine.

Noticing the fall of their hell spawned brethren, the second creature wheels about and stares at me. Cold intellect races through its eyes, and as abruptly at it came it went. Abandoning the cub to the side of the towns wall, its charges forward slashing with its claws and biting with its teeth. "So careless...." i mutter as a throw my sword forward, planting itself in the earth several feet before me.

Racing forward i grip the pommel with my left paw and lift myself up, extending my leg. Eyes widening the creature is caught off guard as a firm kick is planted into its chest; as the creature is driven back and falls to the ground. Retrieving the sword, i cut an arc through the air, and drive it deep into the monsters heart. I feel its heartbeat putter and feebly wane as i wax in its dying moments.

The blade is removed and cleaned against an oiled cloth. Walking over to the cowering cub by the gate wall, i can hear her wimper in fear. "Excuse me miss, it appears you need a hero......."
