working holiday visa?

It's a B2 visa, think a business sorta visa, was listed as covering short courses as well, but apparently doesn't cover mine >.>

Was talking to Keith, there are visas you can get for 3 months, just general stay visas kinda thing, which you should be able to get. Your course is 9.5 weeks so that covers the course, and about 2 weeks longer. I think you'd be able to get it, but not 100% on this whole visa bullshit. Claire had to go through a whole heap of visa bullshit, just coz her plane was stopping in LA on the way back from Vancouver >.>

yeah thats a visitors visa (via visa wavor program) which I did ask about at the consulate, huge no if you want to do study. Know the person at the consulate wrote down that I asked if I could, so now if I do apply for a visitors visa and go to colorado its really dodgy, if I was at the taxidermy place I'd prolly get arrested or something if they found me. Plus thats on record that I applied for a B2 and it was denied, shows here and at the US border.

Yeah, but thats the long part. I applied for a B2 visitors visa (also covers short courses) but apparently that doesn't cover my course because its more than 18 hours a week, even though its only 9.5 weeks. It doesn't show that on the visa info website and we rang the consulate/visa info about it and they said that one would be fine too :/ Looks like the only way I can do all of the course is if they were registered with SEVIS (lol costs $17,000 USD) and then I could get a student visa :/

You could knuckle it and save up hardcore for the SEVIS student visa and go next year? It'll suck, but you'll be able to go then at least.

They arn't registered with SEVIS, so I can't get a student visa and go at all if they arn't registered ;-; SEVIS costs $17k USD to even register, along with a $5-6k inspection fee and then $200 for me to register. So if it's just an M1 that I can get (student) then I pretty much have no chance of going at all. Trying to find other options atmo, emailing the consulate/visa people n asking wtf is going on.

Emailing the consulate/visa people, at the interview and calling them earlier we got so much different info on the same visa's. I just hope I can do even one module of the course on the B1 visa maybe :C NZ is kinda tempting atmo haha will see how it all goes I guess.
