Predators Sequal/Prequale?!?

So I am doing a Google search to confirm what they said about teen wolf in the family guy star wars something something dark side is true. Which lead me to a website I wasn't expecting to find, a new PREDATOR movie coming this summer!
Now the last time the predator was on the big screen was a joke, Alien vs Predator requiem. This new one coming out, titled Predators, looks like it has potential of looking good. Nice cast and a good director, Robert Rodriguez, who is know for directing such films as Sin City, Planet Terror and From Dusk Till Dawn.

From what I know it is a sequal to the first Predator or something but its before Predator 2. And I read that the director wants this movie to have nothing to do with Predator 2

I know after I beat AVP on the 360 it just made me want to watch the movies so I watched Pred 2, couldn't find the first one and then my friend had never heard of the Last Alien fils Res. It was ENH not as good as the first two.

That was something to see from the last AVP film and it was non stop action but this new film.... I hope it does good and not get hacked by everones opinion. So what was ur fav film from both franchiches?
