Yeah, I was all disoriented by it at first lol. They also made it so that when you click on the submissions in your inbox, the default is now set to display new pics first, and I kept clicking the "Newest" button trying to get the new pics up that were already there. Haha

Ooh, awesome. I was always really annoyed that there was no way to set that as the default.

After looking at the forums, it seems they've also changed the PM page as well. 100 messages per page, rather than 20.

good god, they're finally making some changes. Hopefully next they'll fix the broken commissions page, make an overhaul of the 'categories' and 'species' which have never been intuitive or make much sense at all, really, and perhaps add a way for people to post art that they've commissioned while still giving automatic due credit to the artist? Wow, maybe in my dreams.

I think it's so you never see stories on the first page without scrolling.
It's another blow to hurt the written art.

But that's just me finding a reason to bitch and moan. Still, I dislike it. It's big and chunky like a fat man in an elevator; you don't want it and it WILL go wrong somewhere.

Or it could have something to do with a suggestion posted to the forums to increase visibility by making images appear on the front page for longer.

Yes, but it's uncatagorised, about 24 images and so darn problematic you just can't find shit.
God, even if you know everything of the image BUT where to find it, the search engines would still fail to find it.

Uhm... are we talking about the same dA? The front page is just all the brand new stuff, so of course it's going to be uncategorised.

The browse feature is only flawed because it's user-categorised. If you can't find an image through browse, then it's because the uploader didn't read the categories.

Websites get dull when too many people are there. Either it's the server failing, the over-activity or just the lack of managing it all.
So when FA reaches that point, I'll skedaddle.

Ever since Twitter, my opinion of the Internet changed.

It's like, one moment it's a place to vent meaningful emotions and art without being a person, the next it's a place to dump shit because the toilet(real world) is too scary.

Twitter is useful for updating websites and sharing it, but some people... fuck... how can you even write that without thinking "This is something I should talk about with friends"?

I think you need to just cancel your internet subscription, then. Seriously, the interweb is not SRS BSNS. It never was.

Twitter is fun, until you see the people that talk about stuff trolls normally discuss. Like their own problems (although trolls address OTHER people's problems).

The rest of the Internet is fine, excepting massive communities where people can't organise themselves. It's human nature to catagorise and yet, you can't. Somehow ironic, seeing computers require organisation too.

Twitter is a place where friends can update other friends about the goings on in their life. When I'm on the go and I check my twitter and notice a friend across the country is feeling down, I can drop them a text or give them a call. It's what FRIENDS do.... you know SOCIALISING.

Teddy Roosevelt set the precedent that the president can suspend the constitution if he deems that the constitution infringes on the best interests of the country or it's people. If the FEMA director is in charge during a national emergency and does this? BAM welcome to the United States of FEMA.
