I am worried about the health of this girl I know..
General
She went from 55kg to 45kg in a week. (121lbs to 99lbs)
She doesn't diet, I know this for a fact. She is generally against fad diets and gets fired up when one of our mates talks about taking on one.
I know she is fairly responsible with her health and excercise. She usually eats well, and excecises once a day with a bike ride or long walk. This week she has only gone for one ride. So I know she isn't over-excercising.
She has complained about losing intrest in food. She eats, but she hasn't pigged out. This week she has been forcing herself to eat at least one meal a day, but complains about being full really fast.
I want to make this clear, she IS NOT annorexic. If she was she wouldn't be forcing herself to eat at all. She just feels full of the time.
So, does anyone know what is wrong with her? She'll be hopfully seeing a GP on monday about it, but I'd still like to have an idea...
help? :3

FA+

Anyway, after a ton of testing and a doctor that would actually listen to her when she said she wasn't anorexic, she ended up having a type of lupus. Everything she ate simply wasn't taken in by her body.
I really hope your friend gets the care she needs. I know how stressful it can be on the person. If she's not anorexic, then she needs to stick to her guns and not let the doctors tell her that she is and send her on her merry way.
She has always been underweight, but she eats everything she is meant to. She just has felt full all week, and has a really hard time eating a full meal without feeling bloated.
Thanks so much for the advice, i'll pass it on. She'll be really greatful for it. :)
thanks
I've always been a bit skinny, but even this is ridiculas!
Uh well, I seem to be getting my appetite back a bit. I woke up thinking about food briefly for the first time this week.
It could have just been me getting over my cold, mixed with anxiety over whats going to happen concerning that old Science buddy of mine- it has been playing on my mind allot this past week. I couldn't sleep either. Its like my body just didn't feel the need for any basic sources of energy.
On the bright side, my belly is looking like it did 4 years ago. : D
Well, I'm glad you're feeling better :)
But none of us are doctors, there's a wide amount of things it could be. Just make sure the GP takes her seriously and doesnt say she's anorexic and not listen.
Her appetite is starting to pic up now. She had a mild headcold, no nausea or anything.. but maybe it was worse than she made out at the time.
it is 121lbs, dropping to 99lbs.
Her appetite is back for now. Lets hope it stays there. :D
But it could have been worse than she made out at the time. In anycase, she managed to eat a full meal for the first time this week last night. A small chicken wing, with some toast and a couple of olives. :3
I think she might have just been too excited to eat.. maybe. She was really excited about an old friend vistiting, so much so that she couldn't sleep.
