HORROR MOVIIIIES.

I love horror movies. :D
I've grown up with them since I was three, actually. My cousin tricked me into watching the movie IT, which gave me nightmares for about a month. My mom took things into her own hands when a couple of television specials came on, talking about the actors who played the monsters and how they did all the special effects. She sat with me and we watched it, just to drill into my head that it was all fake and that the "monsters" were actual people. She'd even point out the actors in other movies, something I still do to this day because it's like a weird game of "Where's Waldo?"
I was probably the only pre-schooler in town who could pick Robert Englund out on television, and who wanted to BE Tom Savini because "he gets to color on people."
I'll admit that, as I've grown older, I've started actually going BACK IN TIME in terms of my taste in movies. As a kid, the corny '80s flicks were my cup of tea (PUPPETMASTER. CRITTERS. YOU KNOW THE ONES), but now it seems I keep reaching back for old black-and-white films. Ever watch the Spanish version of the 1931 Dracula? It's worth the watch. :B
So what about you guys? Like horror movies? Or hell, what kind of movies do you like? And do any of you know a horror flick made AFTER 2000 that doesn't suck?
Well, 'cept REC. REC was pretty good.

My all-time favorite silver-age film has got to be The Bride Of Frankenstein. It is THE most beautiful and perfect film I've ever seen in the genre; even with... those silly humans in glass jars.
No, no, no. When Englund calls it quits, it's done.
And ffff. I dig Bride of Frankenstein. I like the first Frankenstein a weeeee bit better, even if it did take the book and basically maul it to death. XD
Betsy Palmer had a home in my less-than-500-people town, so she's kind of a big deal around here. Michael Bay has a habit of shitting on my favorite franchises.
Did you hear Rob's remaking The Blob? :c Lord help us.
And... wait, what? I... salfkjdhgkjshagkjdhs. I can't tell if it's gonna be bad, or hilariously bad from that description. I'm hoping for hilariously bad, because one of my guilty pleasures is horrible movies you can't help but laugh at.
Horror stuff... isn't really my thing. I mean, next time we get to visit, feel free to show me some stuff that's actually good, but I usually don't really see the point. It's like... okay, that's a lot of blood, that's slightly sickening... so what?
Problem is, everyone assumes I'm liek omg 2 scard, and it's more that it just doesn't do anything for me, you know?
TELL ME ABOUT GOOD HORROR MOVIES.
GOOD BAD HORROR MOVIES ARE BEYOND THE WALL OF SLEEP. Which you are TOTALLY gonna have to watch. I demand it. >:C
Ivan actually mentioned that we needed to watch that when I showed him this. XD
