Just sorta passing it around since it seems to be a topic of discussion for some on various furry boards.

There's a "gentlemen" going around asking artist for commissions of female harem characters. It's a person that's been banned numerous times on FA and, like the phoenix, resurrects with a new screen name, usually something rather obvious as being shady if you pay attention to the clever name.

The name of the person shall be not spoken for like Beetlejuice, to say it too often will cause him to appear, but I'll just say, real name rhymes with Bike Hurts.

Now, it's not to say that all harem girl commissions comes from this individual, but I'll just say this.

1)If individual advance pays for commission via paypal. DO NOT withdraw the money until you are 100% finished with the artwork and your commission is complete.

2)IF you mail the artwork via USPS, DO get tracking as a claim that the art never arrived is a known M.O. for this individual.

3) Be weary of the individual that is commission said work is asking for a number of sketch scans for "approvals" that seems more out of the reasonable ordinary. An known M.O. Is the person will ask for a number of revisions to a sketch, have them scanned and then drop the commission because it's 'taking too long" as and excuse to end the commission and then will demand the money back, often using Paypal as the hammer to force refund the money as "item not sent".

Again commissioners. CYA when it comes to taking commissions in general, but watch out for some of the more shady elements in the fandom that pray on the younger up and coming artist who don't know any better.
