The Doctor

I just saw the first episode of Doctor Who with the 11th Doctor and I must say, this new guy does the Doctor very well. I'll admit there was some apprehension at first and I wasn't sure he would be right, but seeing him in action, I like him. He's got his own quirks and unique qualities and actually pulls off the character, so you can expect me watching more of the series.
This new season's also a bit of a refresher, new sonic screwdriver, new doctor, and entirely new inside for the Tardis, and they tied it all behind a believable reason for it all. It was sad seeing the last actor leave as the Doctor, but the show must go on!
And yes...I want the new sonic screwdriver. http://www.entertainmentearth.com/p.....number=UT03407

On another note on the same subject, I don't know what sci-fi series there is out there, but NONE can stand up to the Doctor. Throw any of the bad guys from any of those other series, and you'd see the Doctor triumph! Even his enemies would trump many of the villians from Star Trek and Star Wars. He's a man who's faced utter disaster and overwelming odds head first and won. He doesn't resort to just brute strength or force, but cunning, and wits.
