I can see why people WOULDN'T like it. It's cliche and trope-tacular. But I still found it ADOWABAW, and I loved the score haha

The ratio of things I liked about that movie to things I didn't like about it was about 1:10

Which means I did like parts of it

but not enough for it to be a satisfactory viewing experience

I plan on seeing it tomorrow. I'll have a verdict soon enough. I have a feeling I'll like it, but not love it.

I'm infamously critical so I find a lot of faults with movies people don't really mind. But yeah. How To Train just wasn't my kind of movie. Which is bad because I really love dragons

I think I prefer infamously critical to people who think things are awesome and have to force them on everybody. Of course, it's best to be critical with some insightful or witty reason to back it up. ;}

if it helps at all I haven't seen it and can't muster the enthusiasm, based on a mixture of trailers, reviews and copious fan-art, to bother doing so

probably not. It reminds me of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs in the sense of it being a lovable-looking CGI flick that I would rather just passed me by entirely [A Shark Tale, the second and third Ice Age films and Bee Movie also fell into this family]

if it makes you feel better, i dont want to see it. the trailer made me feel adkward.. Instead, Im saving my money to see something else in August.. Scott Pilgrim VS. The World. *Canadian glimmer and sparkle *

perhaps.. if you like films based off hit comics about winning your friends love by beating her 7 evil ex's who have super powers. ( its crazy.. so crazy, its awesome)

I haven't seen it, or really care to see it. There aren't any movies out now that look interesting to me.

But I would like to know why the dragon is named "Toothless" in the first place.

The reason for Toothless is actually pretty confusing, to be honest! To spoil it, it doesn't have any teeth unless it retracts them willingly for eating fish. Makes for a neat little gag and visual, but I sat there for probably three minutes asking, "wait, what?"
