Rattie Update!
So today is day 10 in the lives of my little rattie grandchildren, and while they have been handled every day, it has become a little hard for such a tiny little mommy to keep track of 14 babies. Two have passed on, one of which the mother disposed of herself. It was one little boy and one little girl. However, we still have 12 babies, most of which are doing well. The weaker babies are spending some time alone with momma while the stronger ones are in a tub with a warm lamp above them to keep them comfortable. Most of them are crawling around, bulldozing anything in their path. The blacks are starting to get in adorable amounts of peach fuzz, and the blues seem to be taking a little more time. I have been naming them slowly as they have been getting more and more distinguishing characteristics. Here's the list so far:
Juliet: Female black hooded (slight variegation)
Claire: Female blue, but not sure if she is a berk or self since she is the runt
Kate: Female blue berk
Hurley: Male black self (largest of the group)
Locke: Male black berk (low-white belly, dark ears, small pink tail tip)
Desmond: Male blue hooded (small heart shape on behind :))
Jack: Male black berk (medium pink tip on tail)
Richard: Male black variegated hooded
Charlie: Male black berk (possible dumbo, large pink tail tip)
Boone: Male blue self
Faraday: Male blue hooded (thick back band)
Sawyer: Male black berk (high-white belly, small pink tail tip)
More pictures to come :)

I'm sorry to hear about the passing on of a couple, it's hard. 14 babies is a lot to keep track of! I'll bet they turn out very friendly form all the handling too <3
