K, news items first, contest refresher items follow.
CONTEST UPDATE = glu glu was nice enough to provide a template of Lynx for you flash operators out there. --> http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/56405315/ just hit download when you get to the page.
I've also added all the entries I've recieved at this point. ^^
COMMISSIONS = k, so here's the skinny ... if you want to EXPEDITE your commission (or bump it up to first-priority) ... you can pay a bit upfront. ^__^ It doesn't even have to be the full payment's worth, but I'll bump the priority of said commission ahead of the current slew. Great if you're getting impatient to see it finished. =P

felt like having a contest, so here's the idea ...

This is my character Lynx. She's a parody of Link (ummm ... obviously) from a canned project I was dinking around with for a while.
Anyhoo ... introductions aside, the above pic is obviously one of Lynx without clothing. The idea of the contest is to correct said problem. So yeah, costume design contest. Have at it folks!
Rules & Clarifications:
1) either use the template or draw a costume from scratch, it doesn't matter.
1a) http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/56405315/ For you flash operators out there, dA's glu-glu provided a .FLA template for you (hit download when you get to the page). ... also note that the colors he used aren't the official color scheme (since there truthfully isn't much of one), so don't feel pressured to use his schema.
2) Lynx cannot be naked in the contest submission. NO NAKIES!
3) If you're not too keen on actually designing costumes, there is a cosplay portion of the contest (putting her in an existing clothing design). I.e. ... Dressing her up like ... I dunno ... Nathan Hale from Resistance Fall of Man.
4) Don't mess with the general idea of her anatomy too much. You don't have to draw her chibi, or with the exagerated bust, but I'd reccomend against straying too far from the concept.
5) Black and White or Color submissions are both accepted.
6) submit as many categories as you want, I may limit the number of categories you win though
7) judging will be done by friends who don't enter the contest. This means that I won't hold as much bias over the voting. Also, I don't know who will be judging the contest, so no suggestions on how to tailor your entry.
