The best laid plans...well, sometimes you just can't GET lai

I had such high hopes for this past Memorial Day weekend. I imagined knocking of committments right and left, of sketches just gushing from my pencils, of running around naked! Alas...as Gandalf would say.
It was too cold to be naked, I had difficulties with some of my projects and I couldn't even get my sketches all done--hell, some I couldn't even get started. I felt sick on Monday, the dogs ran me ragged and I couldn't get concepts from my head onto paper to save my frickin life!
Anyway--this is a quick note to people waiting for sketches to approve for their commissions. I've got some done, some not done, and a couple I just ain't happy with. In any case, I should have several scanned and ready to email for discussion tomorrow evening. I would do some tonight, but another problem I had last night was insomnia--I laid awake for hours, and had to get up even earlier than I usually do, so I am zombified ATM.
*Hugs to everyone!* (I get overly friendly when I'm sleep deprived.)
G'night! ^0^

All things happen in their due time. It'll come (as will you). Just like a little game of rumpypumpy. Take slow, deep breaths, relax, and don't force it. You get a much more pleasant outcome...
Unless you like pain. Then, by all means....force it.
Ever since I was a child, I've had a chronic insomnia problem. Not just once in awhile, but every night. I found a solution several years ago that works great for me. It is cheap, safe, and natural. I take 1 mg. melatonin at bedtime.
Melatonin is a hormone that sets your biological clock's sleep-wake cycle. Light - particularly the high color temperature (blue rich) light from halogen and flourescent lamps, TV sets, and computer monitors - suppresses melatonin release. This can be fixed by taking 1 mg. of melatonin when you want to go to bed. Giving up electric lights and computers after sundown isn't necessary if you restore what is missing - melatonin.
Here is what I use every night. Try it - I think that you will like it. It costs less than 10 cents per night:

You're right--I have actually used melatonin before. Our housemate uses it...and swears by it.
My other problem is sleep apnea, which I have really bad. I have a CPAP machine for that.
