I just realized, I mean.... not JUST now.. but it occured to me... its 2010... "The year we make contact" Roy Scheider is supposed to be talking to a dead astronaut right now... we were supposed to have a moon base... Video phones.... Something...
yeah I love my iPod and my laptop and my cell phone, and I think the fact that I use Night vision, radar scopes, and thermal imaging, all handheld, every day, is pretty cool... but where the fuck are the phaser guns, and the Neutron rays... and all the other cool future shit we were supposed to have....
We don't have it, it doesn't exist, that really sucks.... I want my money back

Sucks to be on the low end of technology, but then, 200 years ago were blowing away what they could have even imagined.
Sucks, but it is what it is. Dont sweat it, just know that at least thinking of something greater is what will spur the creativity to make it happen.
That does not help the fact we want more, but what can you do?
But I agree-- I want flying cars. Seriously. When are we getting the flying cars.
