Seriously, I want to thank everyone who shared their ideas in my last journal. Truth be told, I was feeling like my creative spark was sputtering. Since I still have classwork to do I haven't been able to write as much as I'd like to, and I've been planning various stories in my mind. Problem is, I think I overthought about this and drained my will. Thanks to everyone whose suggestions helped to kick the gears in my head back into motion.
And what is the fruit of my revitalized imagination? A dark foil to Ruulkan. Not an evil twin or anything hackneyed like that, but a minotaur with powers similar to Ruulkan without any of his heart. I haven't named this bull yet, but I was working on his angle. Most of my "villains" really aren't. Adrugos is a sex-hungry thief, but he shows a heroic side when needed. Dr. Roberts hypnotically enslaves the unsuspecting for profit, though he has a soft side and never does permanent harm.
This bull mage sees no problem in using his magic to fulfill his darkest desires, and even has a thing for transformational magic. That's right, he's fond of changing humans into minotaurs for his pleasure. I said long ago that Ruulkan might turn foes into orcs as punishments, but that's only if you really make him mad. The new guy can planeshift to Earth for his victims, the sad thing is he sees himself as doing "God's work" in "fixing" humanity. He's developed various spells that do that and usually involve indulging his carnal needs.
Watch out, Ruulkan. You have something new to worry about. Now I just need a name for him...
