Badges (halps)

I was thinking of trying my hand at selling badges. I've never made one before, nor have I been to a furry con (though I'd love to go to one). Advice? Opinions?

best to start off with figuring out what styles you want to do and price out lamination, basics are busts, heads, and chibi/derpy, you can also throw in some original styles too. size wise i always like to go from the top or your jeans to the bottom of your zipper stitching (normal measuring is for fools)
those are the basic tho anyone could tell you that :D try making some badges first? see what you like and what you dont like! if you want to do some test badges first id be willing to do a badge trade with you :D
Doing a badge trade sounds like a lot of fun. <3
I would say be careful about making them too big, because they can be damaged easily. if you do want to make them big though, I would suggest laminating them with 10ml lamination, so they're really sturdy. A bad habit I notice with badge makers is that they make HUGE badges with tons of little parts sticking out, and are laminated very thin, thus damage as easy as printer paper.
also, bristol or cardstock are recommended paper for badges, so the medium you choose to do doesn't bleed, and for sturdiness. :>
as for subjects, people LOVE themes. for instance, something like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3674743/ would sell like hotcakes, I think :D I would add to try not to get into the boring bust route (something I'm trying to get out of >.>) but your style is cute and interesting enough, imo. <3
best of luck, and don't be afraid to experiment!
All this is making me really excited to try them out. <3
