Rant but informative.

Sorry I just need to rant. I know no one is really going to read it but maybe it will cathartic for me. Anyway. I guess I am going to start with PETA. I was watching CSPAN book coverage, lame I know. Anyway the guy was talking about the book a rat is a big is a dog is a boy. Anyway, I know PETA is full of arrogant stupid assholes but this is annoying me know so I am going to talk about it. One of the things discussed in the book was about the founder of PETA and how he still brags about being the first in the nation to get a scientist arrested on cruelty to animal charges. Well what he did was as a college student he signed up to be the student assistant to a professor doing research on chimps for stroke victims. Of course that meant damaging the chimps brains. Anyway when the Professor went on a two week vacation the Janitors that were supposed to keep the place clean stopped coming (they did not say why, which should be a big tip off) and as the student in charge of the lab with the professor gone he was to inform the administrative staff if there was a problem. Which he did not do. Instead he waited a week until the animals were in their own filth than called the police and the professor was arrested on animal cruelty charges when he got back from vacation. The charges were later dismissed but it ended up delaying his research by 8 years. Out of his research we got a method to re-teach stroke victims how to move a method that is now being applied to cerebral palsy patients. Anyway the guy still openly claims this as a victory. Well, yes and I am sure the stroke victims and cerebral palsy suffers agree with you I am sure they were happy not being able to move at least 1/2 there body over those 8 years because they get to know it stopped chimps from being hurt for 8 years. Like when people got upset over an experiment I studied in College were kittens eyes were sewn shut at birth Than unsewn at different stages and later had the brains studied. yes this may seem grotesque but the studied was need to see how optic never develop and effect the brain which could eventually be used to treat blindness in humans. I would rather do this experiments on animals and get some results, even if they end up failing they will at least show us which direction to or not to follow. When working for treatments for blindness or strokes even just that should be enough. Some people say for things like testing medicine on animals is stupid because animals can react differently. Yes, that is true (but incredibly rarely assuming land mammal to land mammal) and that might even be a problem if there were not at least another 5 stages of testing they have to go through. In fact as I studied something related to this in college there were only 1 and 1/2 medicines (I saw 1/2 because the the 2nd one did not get to FDA screening stage) were major medicines would have had different results in going to human trials. Granted that was a couple years ago but how many decades have we been doing this.
This is now my segue to some of Obama's Czars. No matter your opinion on Obama, which I do not want to hear and is unrelated to this rant, his choices on Czars are far more than questionably but rather disgusting. Cass Sunstein, openly admits to wanting to give animals the same constitutional rights as people, to actually be listed in the constitution. This would include the ability of animals to sue. Of course it would not be the animals that would be suing as they have no fricking idea what the hell is going on but rather extreme animal groups. Supporting ideas like a man in Europe who was prosecuted for animal cruelty because he did not reel a bass in fast enough causing undue suffering to the animal. He has also compared our use of animals in agriculture as something in the future people will see as morally as bad as the slavery and mass executions of human beings.

about a minute in.
Really what kind of person in their right mind can make that comparison? He also thinks there should be some limits on free speech. Because it could be damaging to the government or cause emotional harm. In Conspiracy Theories: Causes and Cures. He advocates that certain conspiracy theories should be outlawed, like the fake moon landing, JFK assassination, and that the government was behind 9/11. Granted to think these things people are either crazy or so horribly misinformed that the truth could never reach them even if you showed them direct proof. Either way outlawing it would make it worse. The things he suggests to accomplish this are fines and hiring impartial scientists to spread the truth and have agents infiltrate “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine”. Does no one see the irony in this? To control conspiracies have a conspiracy? He even advocates controlling other forms of media like blogs believing they should be held accountable for spreading rumors. He singles out Glen Beck for that. Never mind your political ideologies on the man, again I do not want to hear them. Though to suggest this at all let alone to single it out against someone who hate is crazy.
This brings me to another Obama appointee that I have a big issue with. federal school safety czar Kevin Jennings. Who is homosexual. Well ok no big deal so am I. Though his ideologies and teaching methods are the problem. First he is a founding member of Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network. The problem is their books and who they are marketed too. Ones of the books was about a 1st grader who explores his sexuality by having sex with his male classmates. Too show that homosexuality is natural and kids should be excepting of it. He has distanced himself saying he does not have any direct influence in choosing the books. Though these are the books they recommend to schools. I also believe the recommend reading list has now been changed, not to remove the books but to downplay them by removing them from the top choices. Like reflections of a rock lobster were he talks about avoiding venereal disease as a toddler. Or this book for 7th graders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4SY_3FmMcc . Though that is not all He also wrote the forward for a book called Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling. Um excuse me but there should be no sexual discussion of any kind in an elementary school. Also why is there very little reporting of this only 12 Senators asked Obama for his removal and most media is not covering it. There is some on Fox and a safe family Website mostly the safe family site. With this being virtually the only news I could find

Hell with the books list different now it took me forever to find a list of the books that caused the problem in the first place: Growing Up Gay, One Teenager in Ten: Writings by Gay and Lesbian Youth, Reflections of a Rock Lobster: A Story of Growing Up Gay, Becoming a Man. Films include The Disco Years and Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit. He was also part of what became known as fistgate. Where he set up a workshop for students and teachers, where teachers got classroom credit, and the kids were as young as 12 and lectures include things like how fisting can be pleasureable. Though the network he was a part of sued and a court prevented the release of the tapes a safe family group made. The order was latter reversed (as the boston court had no right to do it) but they still prevented the family group from showing the audio. So, you have to right in to a newspaper in Massachussets that covered the story in 2000 (before than ban) to receive an unedited copy. So, the best I could find was an edited copy here. Edited in length and with commentary.

His groups explanation for this problem was 1. none of the underage students took the sexually explicit pamplet home and 2 it was not the organizaers fault because they were not the ones who brought up the idea of fisting as part of the discussion. Well even if that is true they should not have responded and no 12 years old should be part of any discussion with an adult where fisting could ever be a topic. Also if there was nothing to be ashmed about why sue to stop its release. They also would say but mos tof these are based on people's real life experiences. Well I do not care what the hell real life experiences these people say that they had there is no reason to ever have a book depicting sex with 1st graders in a middle school.
He also advocated the showing of a dvd called gay pioneers. It is supposed to be about the 'heroes' of the gay movement. Though those include a man who has been quoted as saying Nambla should be allowed to speak their mind and work to change the laws and that Bestiality , even though he is not into it, is no big deal because the animal does not get hurt. Most of use here would consider ourselves furries but I would hope no of us would ever do that. The biggest problem though is his open acception of pedophiles. As a teacher a 15 year old reported to him that a man took him home and had sex with him. His response was that he told him that in the future to make sure you were a condom. No action no following a state law to report. In fact when another teacher found out he threated to sue her because he said saying he did something wrong was inflammatory. He claimed he had no knowledge of the statutury rape but an audio tape from last year of him giving a speech he tells the story of tell the kid to wear a condom when he has sex with the adult and in his own book he says that after the condom discussion he was happy to see the kid walk out with a smile. Ok, so now he admits he would hadle it differently but he admits no fault and the fact he brags and says the kid smiled it seems more like he is proud of himself. In fact after an hour of searching I could only get this article that went into any detail. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news.....ents-pleasure/ . I followed stories that referenced it until one of the links brought me to a story that said the washintontimes had an editorial on it. Really an editorial thats it.
How horrible is it that Obama's choice for school safety though allowing a pedophilic relationship was a good idea?
Another editorial at the same time as that one mentions that there has not even been 14 total news stories about this.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news.....uble-standard/
This editorial is really to point out a double standard with a Republican sex scandal. If you hated that sex scandal again I do not want to hear about it. the hell not? Why the hell is this man not under arrest? What the hell is Obama thinking?
Now to finish my rant. Some old stuff That I have been thinking about because they voted to see if Puerto Rico wants to become a state. Which does not really matter what the Senate votes because Puerot Rico would have to open it for votes. Though that got me thinking The United States undertook a massive Eugenics program there. Why have we never apologized for that? In the end the United States forceable starelized 64,000 people. Our Eugencis program started in 1907 but we carreid it on long after the second world war. With the last law last enforeced in 1978. One of the ways we did this was to deem them mentaly insane and hence unfit you would be arrested and steralized. Though this include the bias practices of skull measuring. Which is not only true but only works if you fudge the numbers and really unfair IQ tests. One of the IQ questions is about proper rules in Racquetball. What the hell I can not answer that. In fact our Eugencis program was quoted by Hitler as a reason to start Nazi Germany's and the fact The U.S. had Eugenic laws was used as a defense by Nazi war criminal at Nuremburg. If you have ever done something Hitler can quote has a good idea you have issues. Even after the Court declared we could not do that, by than how many people had been locked up in Asylums how many had had there god given ability to procreate taken away, well at least 64,000. Than the Eugenics laws did not go away instead it just went to forced abortions. Now no matter your opions on abortions, again I do not want to hear it, If would have to agree forcing an abortion on a mother because you find her unfit is beyond unfair. Since we only stopped in 1978 there are a lot of people left alive from this, why have we never apologized to them? why has the Democratic Party never tried to make amends for supporting Eugenics laws before the 2nd world war? I only ask this becuase By 1965 The U.S. had sterilized alomst 1/3 of Puerto Rican women or 1/6 of the total population. Which if I am not mistaken is not included in the 64,000 total. You might say but most here were not forced. Yes, well they were not informed either. The U.S. would provide this service at little or no money and they did not inform people that sterilization was irreversiable. In fact laws promoted the idea. So even in a case like this why would they want to become a state? We never appologized. That said I would still like them as a state. And the last vote in the 80's showed just as much support in Puerto Rico for being a state as remaining a common wealth. Now it might be even higher.
Again this is really just for me to say these things. Over the past 2 days they have weighed on my mind and my mother probably does not want to hear them anymore. I just needed to say them to someone, even if it is just pretending that someone is listening.
