And now for something, completely different.

Join us every two weeks for another showing of FurAffinity's favorite fatal pastime - KillingTime!
Rather than a round 17 announcement, we want to know what we can do to reanimate this group some.
I know I,
thelastgasp, haven't exactly been the epitome of excitement the last three months. ((maybe I should snuff some drama llamas.. hmm...) But it seems we're down to just a few responding.
so what can we do to perk things up again?
One thought is to move this to weekends. I had Wednesday to match an old schedule I no longer have.
Also I know I need to go through and nominate creator choices and post them. for like. a ton of stories. But that will likely just attract the curious and watchers mostly ((we like you too, really ^^))
So let's take a week or so break to brainstorm how to make this group live again.
so we can kill it =D

I think that moving it to weekends could help,
And something i would love to see is to randomly pick a Watcher every two weeks and let them suggest the next subject ^^

As for ways to attract more participation... hmm, that is a tough one.
I think Creator's Choice might be a good starting point, just to get people thinking about K-T again. Otherwise, I'll need to think about it a bit, got a little too much stuff rattling in my brain at the moment. ...Lobotomy to help a poor raccoon, anyone? XP
What he said ^^
I'm not sure. It's kind of a limited fan base, and the authors are even less. I do write myself, but the subject topics aren't always things I enjoy writing about. I'm not sure how to go about revitalizing the group, though
I think that's kind of the point, though. The idea is to get people to write about things they wouldn't otherwise write about and to step outside their comfort zone to expand and hopefully improve their skills. Just my two cents.
Also, weekend deadlines would be even deadlier for my participation -- my only chance of getting stuff ready is a slow Tuesday at work!
Obviously, the current schedule and system have been working fine for me (I've submitted for 15 of 16 rounds), but that may largely be because I have no real life obligations. Hopefully I'll still be able to find time to write when I have a job, but ultimately Killing-Time is going to be a low priority for a lot of people.
I really enjoy this group for a couple reasons. First, I think it gives me more exposure than I would get otherwise, and I don't entirely understand why other artists and writers aren't enticed by that. Second, it gives me an incentive to produce something every two weeks; without a deadline I might never complete anything. Third, it occasionally inspires me to write something I might never consider otherwise; I almost skipped the "robotics" round because the theme didn't appeal to me, but in the end I'm glad I didn't because I'm very pleased with how my story for that round turned out.
Maybe people need more encouragement or some kind of reminder of the advantages of submitting entries.

Still keen on the group, just need to get a suitable spark of insanity firing so I have something to write/draw for a round...
(Also another vote for getting those choice entries up.)
