Story commissions?

This is just an idea for the summer, seeing as I might have a bit more free time to do writing.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to offer a written story, upwards of five pages, for the price of five dollars.
The purchaser would have to provide the following:
Main characters
Scenario / Genre of Play
And a willingness to receive rough copies of the story.
I'm considering doing this for a few reasons, which can be considered greedy in their own light:
1. I want to get better at writing. I feel like I've improved, but I want to get even better.
2. I am hoping to acquire some money for commissions for friends and myself.
At this point it's just an idea, and I'd only be able to write one story at a time, most likely on a first come, first serve basis.
