If life deals you a bad hand, everyone will certainly rally around you, offering you compassion, understanding, and affection. But not forgiveness. No, if you dig yourself into a hole that you cannot on your own get out of, most people that you suspected would always be there for you suddenly abandon you. Your situation is your own fault, yes, but is it their place to judge that you no longer deserve their aid? It should not matter who was at fault, if anyone, what should matter is that you are suffering, that you need help, and your true friends should be happy to oblige.
