of course, being a Japanese program, there were little girl mascots for each voice that comes packaged with the program. the one most famous for it is Hatsune Miku (the teal-haired robo girl with the spinning leek seen on all the animuchan boards).
all the "singers" have become kinda japan-famous (which is like web-famous, but bleeds out into real life - like having Miku race cars and cereals and shit). They are virtual-idols!!!
its kinda cool. theres a whole cult following to create your own based on your voice and such. as of right now i think they can only sing in japanese and english; but i think french and german are coming out soon.
