diagnosis from the comp hospital, my hard drive crashed. I don't mean a crash where i can get the data back. I don't mean a crash were I can get the hard drive back. My hardware crashed and failed.
It apparently is failing so hard when they ran it through the machine the poor testing equipment went wonky. it's failing so hard it's like a fail zombie.

So now I have lost all my data...all...of...it...and I'm stuck with a rather large bill for a new hard drive. Sigh.

the only saving grace for this, is the one paper I am actively working on to get published, is backed up via email, because my prof insisted that I email it to her. Otherwise...nada

I feel hollow inside...

That was the death of Faust I guess...now off to spend money I don't have
