Very, very, extremely, good movie... So very sad though... But true. You really get to realize what the Japanese went through during the war themselves... Truly they were no different than the Americans at the time. No one truly enjoyed the war, each side wanted it to end... They longed for their loved ones but yet, thanks to what was driven into them they believed they would never see home again... Unlike the American side which believed they would. Such a cruel but realistic reality. I haven't seen the other movie that was it's prequel, "Flags of our Fathers"- which was told in the American's perspective. But I plan to, none the less despite it being a lengthy movie with subtitles it was excellent. Look into it.
