I liked climbing trees a lot. Mom made me wear a bicycle helmet when I did so, because I would climb HIGH. However, in the trees I was climbing, the branch density was such that I was more likely to break limbs or spine against branches on the way down than to get much of a head injury in the final crash to earth.

One day, I climbed to the very top of a tree in our front yard, and waved hi to Mom. This nearly gave her a heart attack, because she was in the BACK yard--I could easily see over the house. After that, she tied a red string around the trunk of the tree and forbade me to climb above it. I protested because it was very close to the ground, but to no avail...

oh, I've had nice, nasty bruises and scrapes from sliding/falling down trees before

I must've been the most careful tree-climbing kid ever. I didn't fall once--well, not intentionally, that is. I jumped a few times, tucked and rolled. And I did get hurt on an ill-advised sledding expedition... but that's another story.

Once I took apart my Mom's watch. I was just curious about what's inside, but I ended up taking it apart so much that it was ruined.

lol oh wow, you have no idea how close you are to a particular Tay story I'm scribbling out right at this moment :P

One winter, my brother and I went out to play in the snow. We came upon a particular snow-covered slope and decided to go down it. Unfortunately, it was also tree-covered. So my brother, brilliant rock-climbing specialist he was*, decided to tie a rope around my waist and lower me down slowly. "Slowly" in this case was a relative term, such that when I reached the end of the rope before the end of the slope, the knot came undone and smacked me in the face just before I tumbled the rest of the way into the roadside ditch.


*He actually has improved quite a bit in rock-climbing expertise from the days when he would rig a harness out of an old karate belt and repeatedly give me rappelling advice from the second Jurassic Park movie.

Last story from my memory for now, a short one. I was about to cut a sandwich, and wanted to make a cleaner cut than the "pinched" look bread gets when cut with a table knife. But I felt I should ask for permission to use one of the sharp steak knives.

What came out of my mouth, however, was not a request for permission, but the question "Do I cut the bread with a knife?"

When I was a wee lad, I once did not let the fact that a window frame had been placed on my favourite couch prevent me from jumping up and down on it. Ended up breaking the glass, cutting my foot, requiring a few stitches, and was left with a scar by my little toe for my troubles.

well one time when i was like 6 i jump of my moms station-wagon thinking i could fly and broke my lag.

I used to have one of those car mats and every time I played with it ALL of my cars had to be taken out and arranged like some kind of car show...minus the gangsta and more like the movie Cars

I once went on a summer camp like trip.... it was supposed to be for a week... anyways... I went to go to the class I had in the afternoon on the first day of camp... however I Hadn't paid enough attention to how the camp was laid out as was relying on my map. They had drawn that the path went around this little hillock thing (like a small hill) and so I went around it.... and kept going.... and going.... and going....

I was lost for about 9 hours.... it was almost night by the time I had managed to stumble my way back into the camp... .and I had actually traveled through a government laboratory near where Los Alamos is.... which if you know anything about New Mexico.... is where they did all their nuclear radiation testing... most of their animals have a certain.... glow to them....

When I got back to camp I found out no one had even noticed I was gone >.<

Webs
- After I saw a documentary on spiders, I took all the large spools of lanyard strings from the summer camp I was at last week and tied a large web in the corner of a gate fence. It was comfortable up until it broke and my head hit the concrete. I cried for a few minutes, but mom's chocolate and marshmallows heals everything. After that i decided I'd rather be a snake and rolled myself tightly into a blanket and wiggled around the house.

Pancake experiments
- I loved learning to make breakfast. Pancakes especially. You can add anything and odds were it would be tasty. M&Ms, nuts, jelly you name it. You could even add food coloring and make mutant breakfast

Garbage Pail Kid
- i loved crawling around junk yards. Finding cool things and old toys that just needed a quick scrub and they were playable again. Plus you got to see what was inside a TV (unknown at the time). One of the coolest discoveries I made was a very pretty ring I gave to my mom. The stone was one of her favorites.

Once me and my brother were jamming in our garage, he smashed his guitar and it caught on fire, so i tried to stomp it out and my pants caught fire, then my mother walked in and she was just like: o.O

Oh, here's one. When the fantastic CD-ROM computer with World Book came to my school in 1993, a group of 3rd grade boys decided that they would search the encyclopedia for "sex." A page came up immediately, with a picture--I didn't get a good look at what it was--but the boys made exclamations of distaste and fear of being caught and suddenly the librarian appeared out of nowhere. The boys panicked and clicked back to the search page, but the word "sex" still appeared in the search bar; a kid nervously covered it with his finger.
