Advice maybe?

My LJ || My Gaia || My deviantART So uh, I may or may not be getting a job with my aunt. It's super easy, all you do is sit down and take reservations all day for cars. Like say someone coming from the airport and they need a car to get somewhere. Well it's a place like that.
My problem, I have separation issues with my dog and I'm so nervous I could just fall to pieces. :C
I cannot stand leaving my dog for long periods of time. I just feel like he will think I've abandoned him and he'll hate me for it. Like maybe he'll become more attached to my Grandpa instead of me. And this kind of thing just makes me want to cry. He's the only person I can truly trust sometimes and I don't like feeling as if I've just abandoned him. ; ~ ;
I know this sounds stupid, but it's the truth. I just feel like he won't want to be around me anymore..
As for the nervous thing, I understand that's normal for a first job. However I just feel like I'm setting myself up for failure. Like I wouldn't be able to handle a job. I guess I don't have enough confidence in myself. I dunno. First I'm nervous, then I get excited, then it's just back to the nervousness again. It's a never ending cycle.
I guess I'm just asking for advice or something. Or perhaps someone to comfort me and tell me it'll be okay. I just don't know really. :'c

I hope this was helpful, try not to set yourself up for stress so early on. You don't even know if you have the job yet ^ ^
I'm really in the same boat, I haven't worked for a while so I'm really anxious, especially when I quit my last job because of anxiety and stress. I've also been wanting to get a dog for years, but I can't justify leaving an animal alone for 9+ hours at a time with noone...
Sorry I'm not a big help, but I can certainly sympathize. I think animatedbeauty might be onto something though, and it really depends on the personality of the animal. Have you left him for long periods of time before? Is there a way you might be able to gradually get him into a routine where you are gone certain times of the day? Other than that idk :C
Most jobs are not too hard after you have done it a few times, you might struggle the first few times you do your job, as most do with any new task, but as soon as you nail what you are supposed to be doing down they are usually pretty easy. Most employers are willing to work with you to get your job right as long as you are willing to work, and as long as you show up on time.
