Hmm, well, maybe after momma feeds you can rock and burb the baby for her? Other than breast milk from a bottle I'm at a loss honestly.

Burping is one thing. And they're right, unless you start pumping and bottle feed, you can't do the actual feeding. I'd do lots of research before going that route with a newborn.

You won't be able to do this all the time, but if and when your side nurses on her side, like lying in bed, you can snuggle up behind the baby, gently stroke her head, nuzzle, etc. Or let your wife lean against you, look over her shoulder at baby.
