I have heard nothing good about this movie since it came out. But last night 
keapano and 
westiebetch forced me to watch this movie and I am very glad that they did.
I can't stop thinking about it and will probably watch it again this week. The costumes and cinematography in the movie is excellently done. The plot is reminiscent of a Shakespearean tragedy and the music really isn't all that bad. Just keep in mind that the movie is a musical and they communicate primarily through song, thus the lyrics are sometimes a bit odd.
All in all I really recommend seeing it. I found nothing in that movie that I didn't like. Go watch it now.

I know right? I knew it was a musical but heard that it was really terrible. I'm still amazed by it. As soon as it was over I wanted to watch it again immediately.

I must see this sometime. Also, even if Repo Men did rip off the story, I still enjoyed the movie :P

I'll probably see that as well. I'm not surprised they did. It's such an interesting concept and as I was watching the opera I kept thinking how easily it could translate into a traditional film. Telleport out to NYC and we can watch it.
