3D tv great innovation worth the luxury?

3d the New FadThe newest in product for tvs are now to have 3d. Sure if you can afford the price, is this type of tv unnecessary or necessity?

Though yes the effect is for those who game and movie enthusiasts. It has great picture and quality for 3d at home. Fun and enjoyable experience.
Downs
Big price wil be like buying a Vespa. 3d glasses sold at high price which can be even more pricey along tv. May cause headaches or eyestrain in long uses for those who are sensitive. Nothing permanent in health.
There's already free apps to turn your pc games into 3d now. And rumor of 3d pc monitors in planning lol

Next year more 3D capable televisions means more content and cheaper prices.
Though 3d is nice its not much of a priority for me.
Maybe if they can drive the costs down and getting it working without glasses we can buy one, but not before then.
True on fad, though saying it as its the future of tv! Method makes others want it.
But the price is horrible to market to anyone especially at these times..
Unless they can get around that, I won't be interested. My vision always gets progressively worse with how much time I spend either watching TV or At my computer doing work or goofing around. I don't need to speed the process up anymore.
