Why? If you hate needles so much, why bother getting pierced? You obviously have a fear of them, so why go to a place full of needles and people willing to use them to make holes in you?

On another note: Why would you be complaining about a clean shop? That almost mind boggling retarded. If you went to a parlor that smelled anything otherwise, it's be smart of you to turn tail and scramble.

Never complain about a clean shop. And if you don't like needled, don't get pierced. Simple as that. You are creating a problem were there does not need to be one. Find some other way to show your badass/emo/heard fallowing ways.

I have my nose pierced and have had it for yeeears. I am not afraid of needles in any way, maybe when they go to stick ya, just close your eyes. It stings a lil bit, kinda like a reeeeally small pimple that makes your eye tear a lil bit. BUt yeah maybe close your eyes??? *shrug*

And if the parlor smells anything but clean I would get the hell out of there before anyone touches me and wash myself lol

Yeah I was just thinking of keeping my eyes closed the whole time. I definitely don't want to see the needle at all. I'd be taking my fiance with me anyway so he can make sure the needle is sterilized and whatnot.
It wasn't that painful though huh? That's good to know.

I know the smell is a good smell, I just associate it with bad things I guess. Maybe I could breathe through my mouth the whole time or something. XD

That's a good idea! Everything should be in a new package and they should have gloves and eeeverything is steril. Just like when you go to the dentist and everything is individually packeged.

Yeah my piercer was really good about that when he pierced my lobes. I saw the gloves, but not the needle. XD I think my fiance said it was packaged and stuff though.

I'm glad it doesn't sound too painful, and you guys made me feel better about the hospital smell. :) I have a better feeling about it now.

Hey, we're women, we get a shitload of pain once a month! XD Haha in all seriousness though, I'm pretty okay with pain; my lobes didn't hurt too much, just a really sharp pinch. I'm just a big chicken (and ya'll thought I was a cougar XD).

Yep, I have my lip and 3 in each ear with, with 2g in my lobes and 4 in my right with a cartilage piercing.
The lip was a breeeeze. ( I did it myself lol I used to do that a lot, but I don't ever recommend that hahaha )

I've had all of those piercings actually. :)

The conch makes a popping noise, when it happens, but it hurts only for seconds, and then it's just warm. Takes longer to heal, then soft tissue, but it's a nice piercing.

The septum, if done right, is done between the cartilge and outter bit of skin, and dosen't hurt hardly at all. Heals super easy (but you learn to pick your nose) X3

And the nostril is fairly quick and painless,but again, you pick your nose, and have to be careful of accidentally pulling it out while putting on clothes. BTW, I took my 56 year old Mom to go get her nose done, and she's a WUS, and was ok after it was done. She saidit didn't hurt afterwards at all. X3

And yea, if the shop DOSEN'T smell like a hospital, then RUN AWAY!
Plus, the nice thing is if you get yer ear done, you can't see the needle, if you get yer nose done, you can close your eyes. No needles :D

I've actually had my lip done 4 times (labret/snake bites/lip ring) and not heard a popping any of those times X3

And it sounds like you have a good idea of what yer looking for, 16g is a good size, it'll be adorable I'm sure.

And I'm really glad kairithekat and I could help comfort you about the weird smell thing. Hospitals tend to be places of emergencies, so it's perfectly rational to feel anxious about that sort of thing, and smells are the strongest triggers to people.
