Tell me...how do YOU view the fur community?

So....how many T-virus zombies does it take to cause the end of the world?
Lately i've been wondering...how many REAL FURS are left in our once great community? becuase as far as i can see there are more posers than real furs as of late. i'm all for the different belief system and such..but a real fur is not gonna say"having a tail irl would be weird" nor would they say"we are not a community, we are a fandom" because those kinds of people as far as i am concerned can leave the community and never come back..because THEY are what the trolls use to target us....THEY are the ones who stereotype us.....THEY have taken our once proud community and are turning it into a fan-boy and fan-girl club....and all these people wonder why people seem to think we are"the next big thing" or "a Fad" gee i fucking wonder.....I WONDER FUCKING WHY?! could it be because of your poser asses making us out to look like such?! and for anyone who wants to argue this one..by all means go a fucking head...i am getting sick and tied of seeing posers everywhere i go in this community. and i want a HONEST FUCKING NO BEATING AROUND THE BUSH ANSWER! WHY THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU HERE?! what purpose do you have in our community other than dragging it's fine name through the mud. anyone that can give me a decent fucking answer will get me to shut the fuck up for now. and no your answer CAN NOT include drawing art,selling art(commissions), or any other bloody stereotype apart of the community. i'll tell you my reason strait off the bat.
Because i myself want to be true to myself as a fur. i want to be unique among others. I want to have a place where i can belong and feel understood. I want to become closer with our fellow brethren the animals.
These are just a few of my reasons for being a fur...and note...NOT A SINGLE BLOODY ONE OF THEM is among the huge as stereotypes out there. the closest i can think of is me wanting to be unique..which out of honesty is a given in this community. so have at it....tell me... PLEASE HUMOR ME! why are YOU a fur?

i personally like the art and am all for the more emotional side. i never encountered the emotions i have till i came into the sites. i allways liked the animalistic or anthropomorphic more as i knew it and understood it then as of lack of people telling me what my interests were really called and such. and felt i was more at home when speaking about such. i say i am furry due to my personality and due to my pride, i love alot of things there is almost nothing i dont like about being a furry its changed my life for the better i would say. thats my honest answer now whats ur evaluation

I'd say your one of the few who actually give a damn about this community. I just wish more people would get there heads out of their tailholes and either leave or find a decent reason to be apart of this community....because we both know that most of them are in it for the porn...whack off material....nothing more. while the others are just here tobe aprt of some"fan club" i guess they see it as...you know what the funny thing is though? once they find out that we are't some "cool crowd" and get attacked by trolls they leave with their tails between their legs....take eskaid for example...i'm pretty sure i misspelled his name..but anyways...great artist...love drawing art....in come the trolls and he goes"OH SHIT! THIS AIN'T GOOD! I'M OUT OF HERE!*runs*" aka leaving FA and the fur community post in one of his journals. I'm pretty sure he had no idea what he was getting into when he joined the community....

well fear of the common man would make u panic so reaction was expected but meh who am i to complain. me i yes will agree i like pron but personally i only use it to get off and hen there is times ill look through my personal stash gallery for random reasons i even have non pron in there as well so kinda makes sense its all my animated stash and has over 13000 pics in it due to my downloads but thats due to replacing my last flash stick i had that got stolen while back but meh i am here for comunication with the crowd as well and most off to learn more about myself and my personality from within the crowd that will accept me for who and what i am if u have seen my page u would notice my furry pride meter is at the highest all the time

that's the point of porn....>.> but the fact is your not solely into it for that which is what sets you apart from the posers. porn is meant to be pawed off to or i my case to finger yourself too...X3 there is nothing wrong with enjoying the art or stories as long as your not here solely for that.

exactly i read the roomates comic even though there is nudity in it cause i enjoy it i actually just really enjoy the plot your storys may contain some of that but what i enjoy the most is the storyline itself not the content

I admit I started off as one of them, the posers, thanks to being 13 and having cable tv in my room. I develed into, at the time, I considered the fandom, but found out that it was a community that started off as a fetish. I realize that many people I know are posers... but still I consider my self a fur because an character I have created reflects my personality by the aspects of the animals I had chosen, Take my current Fursona Xavier. he is calm, quiet, but can become idiotic, cunning, and is brilliant in his own right, just as a feral fox is. I love the art, but I see it as art. I love the literature because it reminds me of Aesop's fables half the time, and are good plot-lines and characters the rest of the time. I never cared about poetry, and music is music whether a fur made it or not.
