chronic illness and a calli.

So, I'm currently recovering from a chronic lyme infection, and slowly getting my life back through extensive use of antibiotics. and if you've ever been on antibiotics, you know they come with their own fun set of problems.
the short of it is that i've been mysteriously ill since 2005, no one could figure out what was wrong and i just kept getting worse, to the point that i was in constant pain and unable to think or stay awake....
random coincidence had me get my wisdom teeth removed and laser surgery on my eyes, both of which had me on a metric butt-ton of antibiotics. lo and behold, all my other symptoms started clearing up!
so i found a doctor willing to work with me and we both think it's lyme. the first round of treatment had me feeling like a normal human being again, but when it ended, everything came back. so it's on to round two. i'm getting there slowly.
i'll likely be getting my eyes re-lasered this summer, and hopefully since i'm being treated for the lyme my body will be capable of healing properly. even now, i find i'm healing from minor injuries better, and am less sensitive to things that used to put me in bed for days.
so that's where i am in my life. i'm hoping to get to a point where my health isn't fluctuating so i can start making commitments, possibly in the form of commissions. it's nice to finally have the energy to draw, but i'd hate to promise a piece to someone then have a bad relapse and be unable to deliver.
anyway, misery loves company, or it's nice to know that i'm not alone in the joys of crippling illnesses, so if you or a loved one has a chronic illness, or even a sucky acute illness that you'd like to share, go ahead. <3 here's hoping we all get better!

im sorry to hear about your friend. lupus was one of the things i was temporarily diagnosed with, so i can sympathize somewhat. that's really rough. i hope she finds some treatment to help give her relief.
