I really got into going through other artists inspirations, so I decided to try this out myself. It required a lot of brainwork at first, but as I got started the squares more or less filled themselves.
Some panels simply shows where I came from, while others more of hint where I'm going. Certain ones are also more about the style/series/show/art/whatevs rather than the characters themselves. With that said though, I'm still more of a character artist than anything else.

Which one is the detective-looking one on the lower left?
I happened about it on RetroJunk.com a few years ago, and ended up watching the whole series simply for the style alone, hah.
At the time I watched this it didn't really mean that much(since I had only seen Spirited Away). As it turned out those six were the real good ones, and they're fucking glorious.
The rest is what you could expect from an old tv series with limited budget and animation, but yeah the art style makes up for it and goes a long way.
