That Pit who attacked Zeppelin on Saturday night?
Apparently earlier that day he bit a little kid.
Good job training, owners.
This is what I feared though. >=\

In a way, this was the best possible outcome, as now that a human has been harmed by the dog, NOW the police will do something. When it's animals hurting animals, they don't give three shits.
Sadly, I'm nearly positive I know what's going to happen to that pit bull and I can't even bring myself to think about it in my current state. >_<
This all stems to me wanting to save the ones in the pound who've attacked nobody, first, than working on dogs like this.
But that won't happen.
Honestly, I'd rather have it be put down humanely as opposed to him being forced to fight which, it seems like he'd be the perfect fighter. :\
I mean hell, he's attacked a human and a dog? Who've done nothing wrong? ...Ehhh.
I won't be using the term "animal companion" anytime soon. XD Sounds too PETAish. And I loathe PETA with every fiber of my being.
My animals are like my children, yes, I understand.
And if I had a pet which aggression issues, I'd work with said animal but not set it loose on innocent children and animals.
I am a responsible pet owner.
Well, of course, I agree completely. But what I'm driving at is that it shouldn't have to be as stark a choice as between continued violence or death. There's a middle ground and if "The System" cared more and put more effort, it'd be viable. But with as shitty as we treat our troubled and unwanted HUMAN youths, I don't hold out much hope on the way animals get treated improving QUITE so soon. We're getting there ... but it's still a long road to travel before a TRUE sense of decency and respect starts coming into play. T_T
I'm indifferent to it all.
Our children need help. That much I know.
So do our animals, but honestly, if we can't even help our own species, I don't see how well things will work out for another species.
This all goes back to my previous views. [With animals]
Save those who first show no signs of aggression, then work with the others after.
Makes sense to me. May seem cold-hearted, but to me, it's cold-hearted to work with an aggressive animal over a perfectly good one wasting away in a pound, completely unloved.
With kids it's trickier.
We're going about in circles telling each other what we already know. :P
I don't think I am a bad person for my beliefs and I don't think you are a bad person for yours. I simply disagree with a couple of them. I just have nothing more to say.
If you'd rather (not trying to be defensive in ANY way, shape or form), I can decline from further commenting on your journals related to this sort of stuff, as I really don't want to case any trouble or feelings of ill will. >_>;;
I'll just keep my comments short and sweet from here on out and wish Zeppelin luck during his recovery. =3
When he wakes up...of course. :P The poor pup can't wait to take the cone of shame off. :c
and they are allowed to roam free on their property, which the neighbors claim has invisible fencing
but the lazy cunt neighbors don't make sure their collars always work
and sometimes the dogs dont have collars on at all
and that's how my poor little chihuahua mix, Libby, got killed
she got out by accident, they came onto our property and mauled her
They took him out on a leash and only in the yard.
Not everyone is like that though. -_-
Sorry to hear about your dog though...
my aunt has vicious dogs that are part wolf and they fight each other a lot
they also attacked my old dog, libby but they didnt hurt her
yeah so aggressive dogs = fence
