I recant my previous journal.

Well, I caved in and bought a copy of Bad Company 2 for myself, since it's what all my RL friends are playing, and I didn't want to feel like a square.
It runs a lot smoother on my computer, suprisingly, and coming from that hell where you didn't know the maps, capabilities of weapons, or competent team-mates, I think I didn't do to terribly bad starting out on my own account.
Therefor, I do hereby recant most of my bitching about the game. I said most, because it still is the worst FPS game to start out on. A little knowledge goes a long way to make the game tolerable in the begining.
Thank you all for the advice, support, and comments on the issue. I really appreciate the words of wisdom. <3

..And it's really short.. I finished it overnight..
And yes, it does take a few games to get used to the game and get good.
Btw, love that new icon, lol
you PS3 or 360...or PC??
Its an RTS with no ship cap* where all human players face off against two very intelligent AI (with a sliding difficulty scale of 1-10, 6 to 8 being the challenge range for most players).
*Each unit type^ has a cap, but there are 3 base ships + 1 special type given per player at the start of the game with 3 Mk levels (Mk1 by default, with Mk2 and Mk3 research-able). Plus Advanced Research stations unlock new ship types, Advanced Factories for Mk4 ships and Experimental Fabricators for a single Mk5 ship type. So in the game I've been playing most recently we only had two Adv. Research stations and an Adv. Factory that we've captured, our conflicts with the AI are still 6,000+ ships strong and we frequently hold off 7000 ship assaults on our main defenses.
^I've lost track of simply how many different unit types there. Probably 170 different ones. Some good, some awful, all unique. The developers frequently invented a new mechanic that is used by a single ship type.
