I need your opinions! Also, commissions <3

So, I am getting situated in a new apartment right now. Very busy with this, and I have nothing there- barely any furniture, no internet or phone or TV, just a bunch of my stuff and me. It's nice, the land is gorgeous(main reason I took the place, next to wanting to be off campus) and I love the birding opportunities here and such, BUT I am in a huge financial fiasco because I have no money for food or anything, and I could really, really use some help there.
The way it works is that my financial aid for school will give me money for room and board whether or not I live on campus. My school is currently taking FOREVER to process that information though, and is refusing to give me money for another week. I had to borrow for rent, which I felt horrible about, but I promised to back it all back the moment the school gives me money which will hopefully be in another week and not too much longer. So! Yeah, I could really use some commissions if anyone can spare the money and wants some art!
ANYWAY.
Off of the financial subject, I am so done with it.
I am in need of opinions!!!
I am trying to design some sonas to represent my partner and I. My partner has a preference for tigers and bears, and I am sort of an all out animal person. I have an affinity with catamounts, grey foxes, owls and jackals or hyenas. Really, anything. I can't quite decide what would be cute, so I thought I'd ask for opinions!
What would you like to see me draw?
What do you think would be nice for a cute couple?
I'll give you a few key points of us two that I want to portray in these sonas.
My partner is a tall, big guy. He's been working for years in the woods. He is essentially a lumberjack kind of guy, with a love for good beer, trees, chainsaws and hiking. I am a tomboy kind of girl, and while I am smaller than him, I am tall for most girls, and a bit more toned up than he is. I have a love for working with my hands and learning as much as I can about the natural world. I love observing, drawing, good beer, travel, and odd activities to stay in shape.
I don't know what to do! Gimme ideas :3 Tentative names are Lyn and John(our middle names) but I feel like that is kind of LAME.
