Scar.
Fucking Scar.
Yes, Scar from "The Lion King".
Ok. Don't get me wrong. I love this character. He's very intriguing and fun at times.
But what pisses me off, are a lot of his fanbase.
They love him and hate Mufasa and Simba and think of him as the victim.
Why?
Like...why do you feel bad for Scar but not for Simba?
Simba had his father killed when he was just a cub, and not only that...but Scar made him think it was HIS fault. 8|
Did Simba grow up to be a broody, whiny, jealous, sack of loser?
Well, at first, sorta. He was sad and all that. But for better reason than Scar. I'd be a wreck too if I thought I was responsible for my father's death.
Scar's past is questionable, and for that I can give him some sympathy. But in general? He's a pissy bastard.
Mufasa on the other hand, is a wonderful king and a wonderful character in general.
He's very fair-minded, mature and fun.
And yet....Scar seems more popular.
When Scar's a king, he's a loser. [He's also a loser as a bad guy...lol. Such a wimp. :P]
JUST SAYING.
Now, before you bitch at me. I like Scar too, don't get me wrong. I just think he's a failure as a king and a general asshole. *Shrug*
Also, I'd done lots of research on possible pasts for him. So chill. I know my "Lion King". >8U I've seen it well over 200 times and know all the lines. So ffffs.

Regardless. Killing Mufasa and blaming Simba is the worst thing he did. Aside from that, he was just a whiny pussy.
"No, Simba please! I...am...uhh...FAMILY! ..It was the Hyenas, who are the REAL enemy! It was their fault, their idea!"
Some king.
I dunno, I just love Mufasa a lot. >3 And Sarabi..and Nala.....And Simba...Ffffs!
I like him better at the beginning of the movie, honestly.
I am not fond of the fact that Jeremy Irons supports yearly fox hunts, but I won't deny his awesomeness is other areas of his person.
Villains are supposed to be bad people! ...Or lions. :P
Thaaaaank you!
I am so glad I'm not a furry.
i always loved him because he was such a dick!! i thought his wimpy, losery, asshole ways were his apeal!! if he was in any way a victim i wouldnt like him at all!!!
silly fan base is silly...
But yeah. They want Scar to be their widdle baby so they can justify his actions.
i think looking too much into the character to try and make him a misunderstood hero totaly dirys the point of the character in the first place!
Scar is just delisciously evil, I don't sympathize with with him really but I do like his motivations. Scar is a victim of his own grand designs. And that's about it. Honestly I think if Scar hadn't conspired to kill Mufasa that early and drive off Simba he'd have done better in the long run. He could have totally twisted Simba, the little git was soo full of himself and dreams of power? Yah... that little cub coulda been Scar 2.0 >:)
Of the lions tho, I will always love Mufasa <3 he was greatness.
As for Nala, I found her better as an adult. Don't get me wrong, I adore her as a cub, but she's so awesome as an adult.
As for Scar, I just..I dunno. I like him better at the beginning of the movie, near the end he's just annoying and pathetic to me.
And with Simba's enthusiasm, like I said :) I could see it twisted into something else. But that would be ad ifferent villianous path to take :) Imagine if you will, Mufasa has an 'accident'. Scar takes little Simba under his wing and helps him learn to lead, like his 'father' would want him to.
As for Nala I know quite a few people who feel that way, I just don't share the sentiment. No idea why :) I mean she fits what she -should- be like at that age, tempered with the suffering of their pride, a rebel seeking help, I dunno I think just expected her to be more front line against Scar?
But eh :) I agree tho i don't understand why people view scar as a victim in all of this, seems kinda silly.
Down to the real issue tho. Rafiki rules.
That said, I'll say that while I love Scar (seriously, he's literally one of my all-time favorite characters), I know he's no innocent angel and that he ISN'T the victim here. Yes, there were likely circumstances that made him what he is, but it doesn't justify what he did. While I would have liked to see him redeem himself and survive the hyena attack, I accept the plot as it was handled. Again, another good reason why I adore the Chronicles of the Pridelands series so ... damn ... much. There IS a "happy ending" for Scar after all, at the end of the first "book". There hasn't been a single one I've read where I haven't teared up at the end. >_>;;
How anyone can justify killing your brother and blaming your nephew...I'll never know.
TURPIN DIDN'T WANT TO RAPE LUCY, HE /HAD/ TO BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T PUT OUT.
in my conclusion, people who think like that are psycho hose beasts.
