So I got that job. They hired me on the spot. I’m a produce clerk at the local supermarket.

What I do:
Stock and rotate the produce to deliver the optimal quality product to the consumer.
Sweep the floor to prevent falls.
Be very bored.
Answer stupid questions.
Etc.
More details about my first few shifts:
I learned just how much I don’t know about produce. To be honest, it isn’t that bad of a job. Just really boring. Currently I’m on five hour shifts, with a 15 minute break. I get pretty decent pay for what I do. My coworkers are pretty fun too. And there are some good looking girls there, and if I wasn’t so shy, I’d talk to them maybe. I love going into the cooler, it smells so nice in there. I’ll bring out whatever we are running low on and then prepare it and put it on display. The wet compactor smells really bad though. One time, I was sending a text message in the back and all of the sudden, someone came up from behind me and said “I’ll just be taking that” and confiscated my cell phone. I got it back after my shift was over. I found out later that it was the store manager. So now I leave my phone off during work. I try to take pride in my work. Oh, and they gave me a knife. I haven’t cut myself yet.
About my server:
I’ve gone through and cleaned up the directory structure also freed up a bunch of space. Also fixed permissions and stuff. Been playing around with the style sheet, added some contact info, recycled some code and added a bunch to it to make a simple feedback form until I code a proper one. I’m considering hosting/coding pages for people though I’m not too sure about the interest in that. Contact me if you are interested.
