because of all the shit they intentionally changed all of which were bad ideas, from the new level select to the "more levels that are smaller"
except for the part where you can aim at multiple targets with his tongue, eat berries to get power-ups, using certain enemies as projectiles, and not dissovling when touching water (he can't dive though). Also he shits Star Bits.
i.e. he's a lot more useful in this one, at least if the stage has him
I like it more than the first Mario Galaxy too.
Also the Ho-Oh levels. As much as I don't like them, they're waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more enjoyable than the annoying manta levels in the first.

i only wish they remixed the boss theme as well
