Tried it for about a week, got sick of it, SL is boooooring.

There are many, many, many stupid, annoying people in SL. For every halfway interesting person I've met, there's a truckload of people who go "lol wan fuck?"

In my experience, if you don't have gold plated diamond encrusted fibreoptic cables woven from the pubic hairs of triplebreasted alien prostitutes from the whore nebula, it will take 5 seconds for anything you do to register.

Also tbh phen is right, its like LARP ChatRoulette... though I don't assume you have a problem with that noot, you're more likely to meet sane people through a text based medium as its a prerequisite to be literate.

Definitely worth a go, probably not worth sinking as much time or money into it as I did, though. :P

Just make sure you don't take things too seriously. There's plenty of depressing people on there, just remember that there are decent people too, there are friends to be had, and, judging from the PMs I've had, a thriving (albeit rather sexually-oriented) RP community to be found.
